Hold at least 0.1% of the supply at the snapshot to qualify. Your skin's value is your share of the drop × vault fees for the drop, where your share is your tokens ÷ all qualifying holders' tokens (tokens in the liquidity pool don't count). The case spin just reveals it. Skins wait in your inventory during Steam's 7-day trade hold, then you have 14 days to withdraw them to your Steam account. Unclaimed skins stay in the vault for a later drop.

2021–2026 are figures reported by market trackers. 2016–2020 and 2024 are rough estimates; update them in the marketData array at the bottom of this file. 2025 shows the Oct 17 peak; the market fell to about $4.2B after Valve's Oct 23 trading update. 2026 is year-to-date (CSMarketCap, Oct 6), after recovering to about $7.1B in July. Trackers count items differently, so figures from different sources aren't perfectly comparable. Sources: CSMarketCap, CSMarketCap (Sep 2026), Club386, Skin.Club, Soap Central.

The Mechanism

  1. Volume Capture
Every buy and sell automatically sends 2% to the skin treasury and 0.4% to platform operations. Meteora keeps 0.6% as its protocol fee.
  2. Skin Sourcing
Treasury funds buy liquid, in-demand CS2 items on established marketplaces like CS.Money, Skinport and Tradeit. The skins are held in designated public vault bots.
  3. Distribution Cycles
Verified holders who meet the snapshot criteria receive skins through automated Steam trade offers once the standard 7-day trade lock clears.

FAQ

Quick answers. Tap a question to open it. Full details live in the docs.

What is CS Strategy?

A Solana token with a CS2 inventory. 2% of every buy and sell goes into a skin vault, and the vault drops real knives, gloves and skins to holders.

What chain is $CSSTR on?

Solana. The contract address is [coming soon]. Only trust the contract address posted on this site and our official channels. Nobody from the team will DM you first.

How do I buy $CSSTR?

Get a Solana wallet like Phantom or Solflare and fund it with SOL. Then swap SOL for $CSSTR on [DEX name / link, e.g. Jupiter or Raydium] using the official contract address.

Where does the 3% tax go?

2% goes to the CS2 skin treasury, which only buys skins, knives and gloves for holder drops. 0.4% covers operations: Steam bots, RPC nodes, databases and hosting. The last 0.6% is Meteora's protocol fee, the cut Meteora (the exchange $CSSTR trades on) keeps from every trade.

How do skin drops work?

The treasury buys in-demand CS2 items on established marketplaces and holds them in public vault bots. At each drop, a snapshot of holders is taken. Each qualifying holder gets a skin worth their share of that drop's vault fees: their tokens divided by all qualifying holders' tokens. Tokens sitting in the liquidity pool aren't counted, so the whole drop goes to holders. Skins are sent as Steam trade offers once Steam's 7-day trade lock clears.

How do I qualify for a drop?

Hold at least 0.1% of the supply (1,000,000 $CSSTR) when the snapshot is taken. Then open your case in the Claim section and add your Steam trade URL so you can withdraw the skin.

How often are drops?

Every 4 hours. The first snapshot happens 30 minutes after launch, then there's one every 4 hours after that. The C4 countdown at the top of the site always shows when the next one is.

What if I sell before a snapshot?

Only wallets holding at snapshot time are counted, so if you sell before it, you won't be included in that drop.

Can I verify the treasury?

Yes. The treasury wallet is public on Solscan: 9AsA…xbwM, so anyone can see what goes in and out. Every skin it buys sits in the public vault account on Steam, csstrategyvault, and the Treasury section above is synced from its inventory.
